Confronting Friends

Today I sent out a text to the guys in my friend group that reads as follows:
Hey guys, lately I've become increasingly uncomfortable hanging out with the group because of a lot of the jokes made. Jokes about rape and genocide, as well as racist, sexist, and homophobic jokes happen just about every time we hang out. While I understand that people don't mean what they said, it doesn't change that it has been said. I would really appreciate if people would be more aware of the implications of their words as I feel unsafe in the environment these jokes create. Thanks, guys!
I still haven't gotten a reply from any of them even though I asked and they said they got it. I really don't want to loose them, but I'm pretty sure they're not worth keeping around if they won't respect my feelings.
I just feel stressed and kinda isolated at the moment. :/

They sound toxic to me and I wouldn't put up with it myself. It hurts to cut people loose, but you could probably do a whole lot better with newer friends. They should have respected you if they had your best interest's at heart. I have cut a few loose and it hurts especially if I had a lot of time and experiences with them. If they don't respect others after all this time and knowing my opinions on things they will never change. Remember, YOU are known by the company you keep. There are a lot of good people out there just waiting to meet you who will be there when you need it the most.

Harporho you did the right thing! I ex'ed a lot of toads out of my life for the same reasons. I was sitting having coffee with four fellows that began ogling a women with rather well endowed breasts, I was so embarrassed being seen sitting with them as it was evident to everyone in the room including the woman that these fools were acting like asses. They're gone out of my life forever!

I heard back from my friends and they agreed that they'd overstepped the boundaries. They are going to do their best to stop and were totally respectful and receptive! I was so surprised!
