Needing to "thrust"

I have a concern about SRS.

I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr. Kathy Rumer in a couple months. I'm hoping someone here can put my mind at ease. Here's the issue:

I need to "thrust" in order to have an orgasm. Whether alone or partnered, it has never been possible for me to climax without producing sensation by thrusting with my hips. For some reason, my body is wired that way.

I don't usually mind. I'm lucky enough not to have hate-my-body dysphoria. I like my body a lot, I'm just unhappy it's the wrong shape.

Problem is, once  I have SRS, I will no longer be able to thrust the part that needs thrusting. I'm concerned that basically means the end of orgasms for me. I can live with that, but wouldn't be thrilled.

Has anyone else felt this, or something like this?

I'd love to know if things changed post-op.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm speaking as someone who was born with the equipment you're seeking - and I've always, always only been able to finish by hip thrusting. It's a bit trickier to manage without an outie, but I got so worried that I was weird and broken that I did a bunch of research... and discovered it's not that uncommon. :)

As a hint, you might want to try it with you on top until you get the hang of the new arrangement down there.

Orgasms after surgery are DIFFERENT from pre-op.  My "O" times though do involve some pelvic motion at least in the way the muscles in the whole area react.  They are not the sudden up and down they were from what was left before the surgery, and do last longer in a way, but there is still the toe curling moment at some point.  Blueconstancy's comment about it not being uncommon in natal women is the what I have learned from prior partners and women in general.  You will find a way to take care of your body's needs and do it all.
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

Thanks. Good to know that someone with reverse equipment can nonetheless still have satisfaction when wired like that.

Well, I'm pretty sure there will be no "top" or "bottom", just me. I don't envision a line around the block of people offering to help me figure out how to use my new snatch.

This is reassuring.

Let's just say it is a totally new learning curve. Takes time to find what makes you   :o

Just as anything in life nothing is 100%. I know a few who just can not reach release. But it does not stop them from enjoying closeness with others.

Suzi : Actually, the advice still applies; when the time comes to experiment, try lying on your stomach. The difference (it seems to me) with not having something of reasonable size to thrust with is that you need something to thrust *against.*

I figured out how to do it without lying face-down on a flat-ish soft-ish surface beneath my hips, but it took many years, well into adulthood.

I need more "thrusting" after grs (also more pressure)
It´s about activating the muscles in the pelvic, nothing strange about that.
