Hello,

this is my first post here.

I had grs (mtf) surgery in march of 2018. Colon surgery. I've been having trouble with my width while dilating. I can use the largest dilator but having trouble maintaining the width. I'm not having a issue with the depth. my doctor was dr Salgado in Miami. Any suggestions regarding what I should do to get it wider again would be much appreciated. I can still use the largest dilator which is encouraging.

While you have the largest dilator in stir the pot. It also would help if you do this gently at different points while working it in so you stretch the diameter along the entire way.

thank you for the advice. I'll give it a try. How often would you suggest doing it to get the width back?

At least two or three times until you don't feel things degenerating. If you can manage it four.

okay thank you. How long do you imagine I will need to do that for to see it stop degenerating?

I'm sorry I don't know. Have you asked your surgeon? My guess is at least a month.
