I have a twitch tv channel and occasionally broadcast me playing games on it. I got this message when I went into it today.

I responded via a twitch.tv private message.

It's really quite sad the amount of time you put in to attempting to harass me and failing miserably. I don't sit in fear worrying you are going to out me. I am more secure in myself than that. Lets say you do out me, it is not going to matter to me one bit. I have already done the coming out of closet thing and all the people who's opinions matter to me already know. People who know me won't care, people who don't know me don't really matter to begin with.

So have fun, have a nice life. Just remember eventually your karma will come back to bite you in the ass. But for my self I could not care less about what you are failing at doing.

This person has attempted to out me on Twitch.tv, The local newspaper, Topix, other trans sites, facebook, and anywhere else they can can think of going to find people that know me. I honestly find it quite amusing. This campaign of theirs has been going on for several years and I have never had one single person in my community come up to me and ask me about it. If they do I will tell them. I will also tell them why I didn't talk to them about it previously. It simply wasn't something that they needed to know about, but that I am the same person today now that they know as I was yesterday when they didn't. End of subject.

They are doing this because I am respected in both the online community, and my local community. They simply have nothing to attack me with other than the fact that I am transgender; well I am not embarrassed at all about that.

Sad behaviour. Since they've been so active in trying to out you surely so done must have a sense of who they are, an IP address, or something. Most stalkers like lurking in the shadows, being exposed is something they fear above everything else. Take care, Susan. Hugs.

This person probably has nothing better to do, but just in case hon, watch yourself, cause whackos come in all shapes and forms and who is seriously dangerous and who is just a self important, "I'm gonna' getcha'" idiot is hard to tell sometimes. I find it so fascinating, and slightly disturbing, when people get obsessed enough with another person to find them, send them messages, and make threats to out them or expose them or whatever. You have to wonder what leads someone to choose another person and make them an object of obsession.

I'm glad you're so comfortable with yourself, Susan, and I am glad that this person seems to be more of an annoyance than a threat.

It's a sad statement of our civilization that when anyone gains any degree of celebrity or comes across the wrong person having a bad day online (or missed their meds), that they attract a certain kind of person that obsesses over them.  I've had brushes with these kind of people, my... opinionated nature seems to attract them like moths to a flame.  So I take pains to remain aloof online. 

There are horror stories of stalkers actually causing physical harm to their victims.  Lets be careful out there...

The internet brings out the worst and the craziest in people who are prone to being mean and crazy. The nastiest sometimes seem to have the loudest voices.

Twitch, Topix, etc are important places for a ton of people and shouldn't be used for intimidation. I'm sorry that's happening and I really hope that person doesn't take their fixation further than they have.

Good luck. You certainly aren't the first and how awesome you can manage to be in the face of it will influence how it goes for the next person.
