This is a poem from my next poetry book called
The End of Days Yet to Come. I am a copyrighted author, but that is merely a formality I have to clear with my printing agent as they want to protect their label. I myself love to share my work and do a lot of that for free outside my printed books, leaving all book sales merely as "love donations" so to speak. Really it's all about sharing the art: but I also wouldn't pass up payments hahaha. This poem is called
Shutter Blooms and it is about the media in general. Enjoy!
Shutter Blooms
I take credit for all nature's beauty
I lay claim to all the world's pain
I steal your soul with a snap and a click
I forge a story that is not my own
Smile and wave for me at my command
To do anything else is a crying shame
Stopping time and space today
Makes me feel a little like a god should
Potpourri paparazzi so bright so colorful
Those flowers of light and sound
Litter the floor around the him and the her
But not a one has its own smell
