So I have been on T a little over a year. I started in November 2012 in November last year it was a year. Unfortunately, I ran out of T around the beginning of December. So, I was off T for about 3 months I believe. And I was often late for my shot day, because I would changed the shot days or simply forget. I know, I am horrible, lol.

My issue is that I have been on T for a year and a couple of months basically, and I still have not grown full facial hair like I would like to. I have seen some guys that grow it in the first year, and it is very prominent. For me I still look like a pubescent teen still trying to grow facial hair. Just makes me feel less of a man, you know? Triggers so much dysphoria, just feel like something is wrong with me. I know that for some it takes 2-3 years or even more, but I cannot help but feel like I am never going to grow anything.

How long did it take all of you to grow full grown facial hair?

2 years and still waiting for a beard. It just takes time. Some guys never get much. My father doesn't and only one out of three of my brothers has a beard.

If it's any consolation, it's very common for a lot of cis guys have the exact same problem. Just give it some time, I'm sure it'll get better! :)

Is full facial hair prominent in your family? If not it's likely you won't either.

My dad seems like he can only grow a goatee pretty well and a mustache, even so the mustache is not as full as most guys.

Well, I just tried to take a picture for you but I looked too gross lol but I am more then 3 and a half years on T and I DO NOT have any sort of beard. I haven't had any facial hair changes in years.

I have sparse, somewhat coarse hair on my upper lip, and it doesn't seem to grow longer when I stop shaving it, and its not noticeable unless you are very close, then I have a really patchy random section of chin hairs, maybe 10-15 of them, they are coarser then my upper lip hairs, and they also are not noticeable unless you are very close and they don't grow past a certain length.

I am very dysphoric about it, and it makes it worse seeing almost every other trans guy get a beard, or if not a beard, then at least 5X more hair then I have after 2 months or less.

It is equally frustrating that I have barely any visible body hair either, no chest hair, a hardly visible happy trail, and leg hair that is probably less then that of some women.

Its probably genes, maybe we need more time to catch up, my brothers are 26-28 and they aren't too hairy either.

But yeah I understand, its extremely frustrating, facial hair was one of the things I was most excited about but I guess its not going to happen, idk, I really don't want to look like a boy in my 30's and 40's cause I don't care how well a guy shaves, you can still tell a difference between a close shave on a guy who has a beard, and a guy with no facial hair.
