Hi All

I posted my introduction an hour ago in topics. I have lurked on here for a while and finally made the ->-bleeped-<- scary decision to go through with this. I just wanted to share and say I'll post my progress on here from from now on. So many beautiful kind people on here.

I am booked for lower jaw and chin but really want some form of fat transfer but don't know If i'm fat enough :) I'm a bit scared for the forehead stuff and brow lift as I really still want to look like me if that makes any sense?

Anyways would love to meet similar people who have been with Dr Bart or who are going through FFS or have recently bee. Love you all thanks. Chris xxx

ps : note some of the images re before afters of how I would like to look and one is of me dressed sort of.

Hi Hun!

When are you booked for?, I think jaw/chin work will definitely yield fantastic results in your case, you do seem very slim for any kind of to fat transfer, at least until you gain some weight, I would think your only choice in that department for now, is fillers or cheek implants, but who knows maybe the jaw surgery will change your mind on that as it won't be that noticeable ... You don't look bad tho, just slim darling  :) . You must be so excited for your ffs, I will be booking with Dr Bart soon too, I'm so looking forward to your progress pics and updates :D x

How long have you been on hrt? You have a strong models face; as the facial fat deposits change you will see those cheeks really looking fantastic. I can understand why you might want the chin done, but suspect once hrt really kicks in the other changes will overcome this. Eyes softer, less serious and more naturally giggly which will loosen the face,

It depends what type of image you want to present. You just have to have a bit of patience.

Hi,
As one of Dr VdV's former patients who underwent a very radical and generally very successful transformation, first of all I just want to wish you the best of luck. I'd also like to insist that FFS is actually not too bad. Sure there is almost always a lot of post surgical swelling and bruising (really bad in my case), but the worst of it disappears in two to three weeks. Otherwise, there is almost no pain worth mentioning, even during the days immediately after surgery.

Apart from that, I also wanted to say that I had lipo-filling done twice, once in July 2011 and a second "refresher" in Dec 2012 both because a lot of the fat was reabsorbed after the first session and because there was just not enough fat available to do everything Dr VdV wanted to do first time around.

Regarding lipofilling, reabsorbtion is real issue, probably even more so for skinny people. The fat cells might remain where they were injected but you lose the fat they initially contained.

I'm a lot older than you so in my case that might have been a factor. In theory, for someone as young as you, the combined effect of HRT and lipofilling should be pretty good which brings me to a question.

How long have you been on HRT?  While you should benefit greatly from chin and jaw surgery no matter what, you would be well advised to have of couple of years of HRT under your belt before considering doing anything to your cheeks. Like Carly said, putting on a little weight probably wouldn't do you any harm either..  ;)

Wishing you all the best!
Donna

Sorry I didn't realise I had any replies at all :)

Thank you both so much for your replies. XX

Yes Dr Bart did mention those things about a fat transfer. I think he mentioned the possibility of medpor implants yielding good results?

I think the jaw and chin surgery are the ones that will make the most obvious change. Thats such a relief on the pain part I was expecting a pretty brutal experience :)

I have only been on HRT few months but wondering If I should switch to injections?

Hi again,
I have solid medpore implants on the "corners" just below my eyes. They provide extra forward projection in an area where I was quite hollow prior or surgery but to the best of my knowledge, they are not used to fill cheeks.  That's where HRT and/or lipfilling comes into play.
If you have only been on HRT a few months and assuming you are willing to put on a little weight, you could expect your cheeks to fill out quite a lot naturally. While it varies a lot from one person to another, Carly's avatar photo gives a good idea of what I have seen achieved on many younger girls.
At my age, HRT has less effect and loss of cheek volume is also often an issue for older cis females who also use lipofilling and/or synthetic fillers to maintain/restore volume. However, you almost certainly have a lot more to get from HRT before you consider anything like that.
Take care!

H'mm yes to be honest I am confused about what Medpor can do but look here. This person seems to be similar and seem to have similar issue below cheek you think?

Theres no mention of any fat transfer on their case page so that gives me a bit of hope I suppose?

I would love a fat transfer but how much fat do you really need for the face? That what confuses me :)

Chrissie,

Is this one of Dr. van de Ven's patients?

Hi,
I missed out on this post up until now. I don't believe that it can only be the result of cheek implants (ie. malar implants) which would never provide such an overall impression of fullness. At minimum it has to be the result of implants plus some form of filling which may or may not be natural where natural means the result of HRT and not natural would be lipofilling or some sort type of filler.
If you do a Google search about cheek implants you will quickly learn plenty about the subject.
Take care.
