If I used Retin A for 2 months and it worked great and 90% of wrinkles are gone. How long do I need to continue? Can I stop? Can I do it 2 days a week?

Evolving Beauty

This is to be used forever just like cleaning a house regularly or dust will come back. Using Retin A Using a strong sunblock of minimum SPF30 is very important when you step out.

My mom gets me Retin-A from her dermatologist and has for a decade but in order for it to work properly, it must be used consistently. You can skip a day or two, especially when you experience peeling. But, two months of Retin-A therapy is nothing. I would also watch using it around the eyes, as it thins the skin, thus giving that prettier appearance, but it could make wrinkles worse.

A good product I also buy for my skin is Repairwear Laser Focus from Clinique. It works like a dream and leaves my face feeling so silky, smooth and overtime is like getting a light chemical peel, without actually peeling your face off lol

I am a bit embarrassed.

I had wanted to purchase retin-a and goggled  it and lifecell came up. I purchased it and have been using it for 2 months. I just looked and the main ingredients in LifeCell include dithiolane-3-pentanoic acid, ubiquinone, deanol and ascorbyl palmitate. There is no retin-a. :(

Can anyone please explain me why sunblocker is so important???

One of it's "features" is that it evens out skin tone. It does this by inhibiting melanin production, which is the active ingredient naturally present in your skin that gives it pigmentation but also protects it from the sun. That is why SPF is so important, because your skin will burn easily with melanin inhibited.

Sunblock on its own (even without using retin-a) is a WONDERFUL idea to start using immediately. Anyone undergoing laser hair removal should also be using a broad spectrum sunblock anyway. SPF will preserve and protect your skin from photo aging

Usually retin-a or "retinoids" are prescription only and can only be given to you by a doctor. However the less potent over-the-counter form called "retinols" you can get anywhere sans doctor approval.

I have been using the good stuff "retin-a 0.05%" off and on for 3 months and the results for me have been spectacular- especially on my forehead. Feels like baby skin :D I got the tube from my doctor
