Life often provides an unexpected twist. Today I sat on a panel at a diversity conference presenting the male perspective on gender, business and social policy frameworks. Expected an uncomfortable time but the predominantly feminist audience liked the non binary perspective, the focus on male cultures, socialisation and the fact that gender is best understood as an individual identity rather than as a group identifier or social construct.. Really positive experience. Suspect that sooner rather than later I will need to be authentic and tell them that I am a non binary TG. Their reaction will be interesting.
