when i recently made a highly informative post about the free music site, www.pandora.com, i naturally thought there'd so much interest in that it would create something of a sensation because it's truly amazing.

but aside from a few enthusiastic replies from some well-respected members here, the overall response has been luke-warm at best.

i thought that i was gonna be showered in karma. and not Susan's karma. Real karma. you know, the good-will you spread in the world to counter-balance bad luck and all the little and not so little faux pas you may have made in moments of thoughtlessness?

but no!!!!!!!   what? did you already know about the site?

Anyway, here's why it's of interest to me. following is a list of songs i never heard before, but which i just love. and i've only been there since July 16th!!

The Middle Way

They came up with Pere Ubu and Hilary Duff. Well, there might be something to it, I would tend to think that such an approach'd be more pigeonhole than that.

Actually I considered for a short minute working for the Genome Music Project on which this pandora is based, which considers some very well-thought out, and quite technically sound factors in its algorithms, but it meant I might have to actually listen to the stuff. Which would be pandora-like for me.

NONE OF THE ABOVE

Oh, I think I see the difference between GMP and Pandora. GMP I think provides a centralized experience - like Muzak corp. - based on their algorithm, this other thing is more particularized in sets called radio stations.
