So if I'm getting breast development and cheekbones is that a sign that estrogen is distributing fat in the rest of the female places?  I think I'm gaming weight on  my thighs but it's hard to tell.  I don't want to gain weight in the male areas.

Are your jeans fitting a little tighter in the thighs?

If you can find a tape measure, check your thighs, calves, hips, waist(just above your hips) .. probably every two weeks or so.. and write them down... You'll be able to chart how you're changing..  Your breasts are getting a combination of fat redistro, and cell dividing/growing.
How long have you been on HRT?  Some begin their changes right away(within a few days) some after a few weeks, some.. Months... Everyone is different..  your breasts will def ache/itch/hurt as they begin to grow, your butt will ache if you sit on hard chairs/stools.. but likely, as Michelle said, your normal jeans will start to feel tighter, fuller, or just not fitting right again.  My guy jeans (Levi 505s were all I wore) stopped fitting right after abt a month.. I started going to Goodwill for girl cut jeans... Aeropostale, Gloria V'bilt started fitting much better, and at abt $4-$5 each, already broken in, wear much more comfortably than my guy jeans.  Just be ready to have to figure how to carry all your stuff because the pockets are soooo much smaller than guys pants. There's just no room for more than $6, a tube of Chapstick and a iphone   ;)

Oh I'm well aware of those little tiny jean pockets believe me.  I've been dressing as female for several years now but the estrogen for a few months.  The breast  and cheek development is definately noticeable and maybe the skinny jeans seem a little tighter in the thigh area but still comfortable.  My upper buttocks is rounder too not flat like it use to be.  So yeah I seeing some results.  If I can get an orchiectomy then I think I will see better results.

Just Ole Me

I've been on Spiro for a year but only on estradiol a month. While my breasts are budding, hurting like heck and growing, I didn't notice any other body changes. That was until the last week when I noticed my girl jeans( which is all I have now at this point) are getting really tight in the butt and thighs!  I thought I had gained wright but in the last month since starting estradiol I have lost 1 pound!  So I measured my thighs and they are each 2" bigger then a few months ago. So stuff is happening everywhere but hard to see daily. Your clothes are your best indicators. Several of my goto shirts, ive noticed are getting really big on me. So I didnt think my upper body was losing muscle mass but.....clothes don't lie

Hugs

Just trying to find comfort in this "shell" that doesn't fit.  But I am "remodeling" the shell finally!

Yep that is a sure sign that the estrogen is working it's magic. My cheeks and thighs are like super full in comparison to prehrt and even my first year on hrt.

I used to think of myself as a lump of clay, and each day the sculptor is applying her hands in ever so subtle and wonderful ways.

Hi;
Yes its quite amazing. About 2 months ago I was in Boy mode giving a talk to some customers when I accidentally dropped my pen onto the floor. I bent down to pick it up and split my male trousers down the seam from waist to knee. I was really shocked. Anyway that night I measured my self and was amazed to discover that I have added 3.5" to my bottom measurement and nearly 2" onto my hips. What's really noticeable is that I have also experienced a bit of a pelvic shift. This is most noticeable to me when I am walking in heels as my point of balance has changed - its getting a lot easier to walk in them.. I came out of the shower this morning sand sometimes I look at myself in the model 6 position that is bottom/cheeks pushed out, tummy in and breasts forward - sort of a backwards number 6. Places like the Crazy Horse saloon in Paris often get their girls doing nude/topless position to take the 6 position to gauge a girls attractiveness on auditions. I was amazed as I hadn't noticed it so much before but my breasts now look quite perky, I am losing weight on the tummy (a lot more needed) , and I am starting to see a waistline, I have definitely lost all my arm muscles and my arms look incredibly slender now. So after 14 months the changes are kicking in. Interestingly I just threw out 14 pairs of male trousers - none of them fit any longer, and bought myself 4 pairs of women's skinny jeans. They fit beautifully especially on the butt. Yes I have noticed the tiny pockets!!

Exactly. Well put! I couldn't have said it better. :) That's estrogen for you. Much more subtle, natural and gradual than plastic surgery BUT I understand how some may need to resort to it despite HRT.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

I haven't taken any measurements but my skinny jeans are getting harder and harder to slip over my butt. And I had a random guy hit on me recently after following me on the sidewalk - my girl friend that I was with looked back and noticed him checking out my butt as he followed us so HRT is doing *something* back there!  :laugh:

I'm also having trouble hiding my boobs when I have to present in boy mode. I will be forced into coming out sooner rather than later because of those.

So yes Amy1988, I would say that HRT is putting weight and curves on you where they belong. You may soon have the same issues that I am facing  :)
