Having feelings of deeply felt trans pride lately, yeah, don't we just rule?

Once upon a time, I honestly never did get it seeing people going on about "gay pride" and the seemingly endless march of happy persons attached to the phrase. I kept thinking they where just chanting the term in order to declare themselves and re-affirm their lifestyle amidst public aversion.

I guess I could not have been more wrong. Because I wasn't gay, I couldn't relate.

The phrase isn't some psychological crutch. These people really are walking on sunshine. They really are proud.

So here I sit feeling an abundance of joy myself, about what I'm doing, what we are, and what we represent. Was trying to pin a term to it and the term was right in front of me all along.

Sure beats the stuffing out of "trans fear & loathing" which many of us can suffer through from time to time.

I feel like we're an evolved species. We *are* better than cis people. Talk about having a unique perspective in life, one evolved from both worlds.

I'm more about "Portia pride" than anything else.

Indeed you do, babe.

Lets not get carried away with delusions of grandure...  ;)

There's a lot of closet trans escapism with males out there. The number of them privately imagining what it would be like to be a woman has manifest itself in the sheer popularity of TS/TV/->-bleeped-<-/LadyBoy/Crossdressing content on the adult sites. It's the largest niche as a whole. There was a study that showed an interesting percentage of males choosing a heroine option in co-ed character creation role playing video games. Dressing them up, grooming and weaponizing them with so much care and love like they where their own girlfriends. I forgot where the article was from, but it was kind of telling about the deeper interpretation of why males may be doing this.

Yet here we are. Instead of dreaming - we are becoming. :D

Well, I can't say I really feel like I've "seen things from both perspectives." I never felt like a guy or really understood what it is to be a guy. I only got up each morning and put on the guy act. I saw how cis guys behaved and tried to emulate them, but I always felt like an imposter.

I guess if there's something positive that is related to the unique experience of being trans, it's that it's allowed me to achieve a level of introspection that I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

I don't really feel pride, though... Maybe that will come when my transition is either complete or I feel like I've made significant progress towards my goal. I can see taking pride in that.

That they would prefer to stare at an imaginary scantily clad female butt sashay across their screen for endless hours instead of a male one?

:D Well that goes to show how brave many of us really are. To take that giant leap requires some big tits!

And tits are bigger than balls!

Didn't find the exact article but some recent related stuff with similar conclusions.

*puts hand up*

You play as a white male in many games, so it's refreshing to be able to do something differently.
