PoeticHeart

So, some of you may have seen me around. I put off my intro post for a bit so I could dive into some actual threads and get a feel for the place.

I lurked for a bit before I joined and I'm liking some of the conversations I'm seeing take place.

Just a bit about me. I live on the east coast of the United States and I identify as transsexual (mtf in case you're curious). In many circles, I go by the name Janelle but I, unfortunately, do not live full time as a female. I'm not in a place in my life where I feel that is possible but I am slowly working my way towards that. I just completed my first year at university. I am studying psychology in the hopes of one day obtaining my PhD and becoming a gender therapist. Currently, I am in the process of building an organization with a professor at my university that will aim to benefit the lives of trans students as a whole, not only at our campus specifically but in the broader community as well.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to interacting with you on the forum!  :)

Janelle,
Welcome to the group :) That's pretty great what you're doing at your university, I'm sure many people will benefit from your work.
