Hey all,

I just purchased my first binder from Underworks. It is much too large (about as loose as an athletic tank top). It does have some amount of a flattening effect, but I'm thinking I might need to exchange it for a smaller size.

The problem: In addition to the binder being too large, quite a lot of breast is sticking out through the armholes. I am worried that this might be dangerous or damaging, in addition to just plain uncomfortable. Would going to a smaller size fix this problem, or would I be better off trying a different brand/model? I'm wondering if the armholes are so large just because the size is a 3X and if maybe a 2X or 1X (I am thinking of going down 2 sizes) would be better. But I do not know for sure. For how big I am in the chest & stomach, I do not have very big arms, so this might be a problem for me regardless.

Any advice or suggestions on what I can do to minimize armhole issues?

Thanks!

~ pf

PS: BTW my chest size is about a 46G, if any other big guys who have/had large chests are out there & have experience with this your input would be very much appreciated, with extra sugar on top!

I'm not a big guy, but I heard that you can minimize the armhole issue by positioning your chest down and out so it won't stick out near the armpits. Adjusting your chest while laying face up on the bed may help, I always do that. I have the Underworks tri-top too, my chest size is 38D and their L size fits great. I think you could try to get a smaller size, the longer model looks uncomfortable for a big guy because a friend told me it bunches and rolls up a lot.
Hope it helps.
What does my gender identity has to do with my pizza order?

An undershirt may help, especially with the comfort aspect, or using two different types of binders so they don't both end and let tissue squeeze out at the exact same place. You can also try to push them more inwards, but you have to decide which is worse- the unimoob or the sticking out.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

I don't know about the sizing, but I do reccomend an undershirt, as well as positioning the chest bits.
I'm a larger guy and I like the ling style. I have 2 sizes and the smaller one rolls up a couple times a day. Annoying, but I like the all over compression.
