Well I had my second therapy appointment last night, and I just can't believe how good it feels to talk about all of this to a real person!! :) The therapist is lovely too, with a lot of experience with trans people, which I was not expecting in little ol New Zealand.. She seems very happy with things and will be referring me to an endo after the next session (next week or later this week if a space becomes free), I'm so glad I decided pursue this out of my own pocket rather than rely in the slow machinations of the public system here.. Anyway this is just a quick note to any out there that are reluctant to open up and take the first step... Just go for it!!! :)

Big cheesy smiles and hugs to everyone!!!! :)
All these years, all these memories, there was you. You pull me through time.

Feels good doesn't it :P

I made a similar discovery about 4 months ago in Brisbane (which isn't the biggest city)
For anyone else wondering about it, I definitely recommend going to a therapist, it has worked wonders for me

Yay!  So happy for you!!  Doesn't it feel amazing!??  Seeing the right therapist can really boost your confidence and self esteem and make transition go a lot smoother.  The first time I tried to transition, I did an online chat thing due to financial reasons, but this time during my second transition I talked to a therapist in person and I think it was a world of difference!

Thanks all for the kind wishes :) She really is so nice (the therapist), we ended up chatting for an hour and half lol, it was 9pm before she managed to kick me out lol! Really looking forward to the next session.
And thanks again to all of you for all of the support! I doubt things would have gone anywhere near as smoothly without it.. ox :)

Congrats! I am so happy for you.

I also found a great relief to actually open up about being trans. My first experiences was with a totally fantastic TG support group which was later followed by a therapist. It is amazing how just being able to say and actually hear it yourself from yourself to another,  those words that made you feel so ashamed and guilty all these years, just loose their death grip on your life
