I'm starting to get a little dysphoric about my first day of uni.
I know we have like a name game, and the teacher will call everyones name and we have to reply 'yes' if we are there.
Haven't changed my name legally yet, because I can't do it for another 5 years, because I added a middle name as 15. (Can only change once every 10th year in my country.)
I'm just dreading that part, but else it's fine, so I don't know if I should inform the school that I might not wanna do the whole intro-day thing?
Is it optional to be there if you tell them beforehand why you are not?

I'm pretty sure if you have the flu, you don't have to be there...

Ftm.

I'm not sure if this is an option but can you get them to call you a 'nickname' throughout uni rather than your birth name?  :) That way you can still go to the intro day and join in but have them call you by a name you prefer.
