Nearly three years after a business in London's Trails End market came under fire for employing a transgender person, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal has ruled the market did discriminate against the business and its worker.

It was in September of 2011 when the owner of True 2 You, Karen Clarke, was approached by the management of the farmer's market on Dundas St. East. They told her that unless she fired one of her employees, Daniella Freeman, they would be asked to take their business elsewhere.

The ultimatum came from the market's General Manager. Shortly after the incident, Clarke told AM980 the GM told her the transgender worker made everyone uncomfortable and "it just wasn't right," and called them "those people" several times.
