Pray for This "Trans" Kid - This is what happens when Christians fall asleep

It begins with a shaky home video clip. A beautiful little girl with long, soft locks of golden hair plays with her baby sister in a bathtub. I can't help but chuckle at her glowing smile, her laughter, and her childish clumsiness. Her sweet, rosy face has all the power of innocence to inspire wonder and awe in the most casual passerby.

Her name is Ryland Whittington, she is six years old, and her parents, under the direction of "professional help" in their home state of California, have identified her as a "transgender boy." Why? Because she said she wanted to be a boy. When she was five.

This is why I find religion and people like whoever typed that article up to be absolutely disgusting. They don't hesitate to twist facts and words and make it seem like something else is the case. I'll give the article one thing though, they were right that after watching the video I woulf cry, but wrong in the reason why. I cried tears of happiness and here, you all should watch this video and see what I mean, his parents are awesome.



If I had to say something else though, I would note it is odd/suspicious that he was reading that letter at the end, I don't know, to me it somewhat felt like those might not have been his words.

But wait, there's a bit more, this was talked about on the news, it gave a bit more perspective on it, and, unless I missed something I would say for the most part, the news did alright.

I think that this is 100% something that a 6 year old could come up with. All 3 of my nephews around this boy's age would have been able to come up with a speech like that, if not something more over the top.

Yeah me too. It was that parts at the end. (But this only got to me through to the unknown aspect) Yes he could of come up with it, but that doesn't mean he did.

I did like the news video too. It was brief but to the point.

Its just the wording of certain things, you know. Like parents allow their child to be, as apposed too parents turn their child into.
And I Suppose its down to witch of these perspectives one takes this as to whether your for it or against it. Because one is a freedom and the other a caging.

I love how they (the Christians) chose to emphasize the childlike pronounciation of the letter he read, i.e. "I am a twansgendew kid." Yeah sure that's how the kid said it, but you can tell they deliberately chose it to emphasize the whole "omg what about the children they can't decide!" Now to be fair, I understand a lot of gender variant kids grow up and stop feeling dysphoric, choosing to live as their original sex. That concerns me. But I take issue with people cherry picking how they write, spell, or emphasize words to try and convey a message.

I'm glad his parents are so supportive. Whether he grows up and wants to transition or not, he knows his parents believe in him and support him, wanting him to be happy.

I couldn't help but laugh at such a unbiased and honest article.

The comments are the icing on this big ole slice of moron cake.

Never mind about culture and whatever was outside the home the day this little girl decided to even think about becoming a boy. Why did she even hear or want to do this? Where are her parents? It is those two who should have taught her differently. Now she's mixed up and will probably be that way forever. Is that what they wanted? They should talk to her. This is an example of bad parenting. Go after those parents.

This is just one of the gems. What a crock of crap. I've dealt with Gender Dysphoria for a little over 30 years and all I saw in regards to people like me outside of my home was: "you're a freak", "you're a ->-bleeped-<-". Turned on the TV and what did I see? "Oh, look at the ->-bleeped-<- freaks.", on the tabloid trash television of the day. The result of hearing and seeing this as a child did two things: Made me hate myself and my life at a tragically young age. It also made me go back into the closet.

These people are absolute idiots and have no idea what they are talking about.

(Christianity, like its namesake, is innocent) No its isn't, Christianity is a word used to describe man, man can fail. I just hate how some seem to think saying, I believe in Christ means its impossible for me to be wrong. When that's not true, The bible time after time tells stories of this mind-set leading who nations into digression. And they cant see what they do Is wrong. Believing your above being wrong mean you will fall unknowingly. Anyway

This isn't in the Christianity area of the site so Ill refrain from voicing my opinions on such. And maybe Ill just dedicate my life to educating those who believe applying a word such a Christian to themselves makes that automatically "superior" .

Ryland is a beautiful child and for them to spew their hate and disgust at a child, angers me.  Ryland knows who he is.  His family knows who he is.  Jesus loves the children!
