Hello, I am not sure where this post should be but I was wondering how I can get rid of facial hair for good without laser treatment as I can't afford it?  I've been taking testosterone for almost 3 months now and I feel like hair under my chin is getting worse. I am only shaving my upper lips and chin and even then there is almost always a shadow appearing in the upper lip. As for below the chin, I don't even want to use a razor as I know it will make it thicker and worse. I hate the pin like feeling it gives.
Perhaps the MTFs here can suggest something that's effective?
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

Electrolysis - expensive and time consuming
Hiratmus (?) - condition of excessive hair on women can be treated by a topological cream - but it is a prescription only and stops / slows hair growth only whist used. I don't have details from memory

Something you might want to check into is if the electrolysis will be useful at this point since you will still (in all likelihood) develop a lot more facial hair over time. What I mean is, you're only 3 months in - I'm 2 years on T and new facial hairs are still popping up everywhere, getting thicker, and so on. Does electrolysis work on hairs that have yet to emerge?

Quick note, shaving will not make the hair thicker.

I wished it wasn't the case but when I did shave it twice before, it looks sharper and darker when I compare the two photos I took before and after... I am currently trying to just pick them out one by one with tweezers like I do between my eyebrows and buffing them...
I looked up Hiratmus but I wasn't able to find anything. When I see my doctor I am going to ask about the Finasteride but I am still unsure if it will actually help.

Sorry my bad- the actual term is "hirsutism" - I should not rely on my memory of spelling...

A shaved face looks like the hairs are thicker/darker, but they aren't. They are just cut off bluntly at the thickest end. Hair sort of tapers off with length.
