I think some people here should be very careful with comments. After read such hard comments I decided to copy and show your comments & ask Dr Di Maggio's team if all this was true, and  the answer was this:

We know Dr Di Maggio doesn't want to do some procedures for many reasons and the main one is that the FFS & specifically frontal sinuses surgery is statistically more risky in VIH patients.

Many others VIH patients had facial and body surgical procedures with Dr Di Maggio.

Get in contact with Dr Di Maggio and do not believe in false comments.

As far as I know this is a public forum where both praise and criticism of a surgeon can be heard. That is the whole point of having these discussions. I know that if I don't have a good experience with a surgeon I'm going to post about it. A surgeon's work and reputation will "speak for itself" and from a "North American perspective" (American and Canadian) when you come here and pressure the moderators to "police" the conversation on behalf of MDM, it reflects poorly on him, not the other way around. It smacks of desperation and unprofessionalism. No one is out to defame Dr. DiMaggio. Everyone here ultimately knows that if they want answers they will contact the surgeon directly.

Lastly, not everyone has to necessarily agree with MDM policies...   Generally speaking Americans and Canadians are used to being able to freely express themselves in public forums. It's a freedom of speech culture that we have and when you come here to shut that down, it's not received well. Your audience here are primarily North Americans and Europeans, who also probably don't care much for having their conversations policed by surgeons from afar.

Wonderful! Then if Dr. DiMaggio is doing so well then surely he doesn't need you to defend him at every single turn from a handful of people who dislike his policies. Once again, not everyone has to like his policies or even him as a surgeon. I don't see anything derogatory in this thread. One person did make a comment about Argentina being a 3rd world country in another thread, and they were already politely corrected. Even with that, no one is required to like Argentina, the United States or ANY COUNTRY for that matter, people can say what they wish. I've been considering coming to Dr. DiMaggio for a correction for work that I've had done, but the more I see you coming here trying to police the conversation people are having, the more uneasy I feel. I will say just once more, you are not doing MDM any good by trying to police the conversation in a public forum on his behalf.  Kind Regards, -J
