Is it the T? Or just a coincidence?

So I've always been relatively small chested, but there's always been this weird mass in my chesticles, more so in one side than the other. I could always kind of grab it by squeezing my lump. In the back of my mind I always thought I had cancer but it was there for so long I didn't think anything of it. Tomorrow marks my one week on T. I just got out of the shower and was inspecting my chest because it seems smaller. I felt around and the mass isn't really there anymore. Could it be the T? Or is it just a random coincidence?

First of all, I think you should get it checked out by a doctor regardless. That doesn't sound good.

T does make your chest tissue soften and sort of "thins it", which may contribute to the lump's disappearance. Also, the fat distribution often makes the chest smaller. This happens at different times for everyone, one week on T may just be enough time for these things to happen. I suggest you keep an eye on it and see a doctor anyway, just in case.

(Disclaimer: I am not an oncologist but I used to work in a prostate cancer research lab, and people who work with androgen-sensitive cancers tend to have friends who work with estrogen-sensitive cancers, so I know a tiny bit about chesticle cancer.)

I concur, definitely get it checked out, but it's unlikely that it is cancer.  Also, keep in mind that these kinds of cancer screenings have high rates of false positives.  Not quite a high a rate as pap smears do as far as I know, but still pretty high. So even if your doctor says you might have cancer, there is still no need to panic and a second opinion is always good.

I also had a lump. Got it checked out. Turned out to be nothing. Because T makes your chest smaller, the tissue inside seems more obvious. The chest keeps getting smaller, to a point where I wouldnt need to bind had it not been for the point-shape from the remaining tissue. T can also make PCOS worse if you already have it. This means more cysts appearing around the ovaries and/or chest. That could also be it. But as everyone said, get it checked. Better safe than sorry. Good luck mate.
