Dubious about this one. I'm wary of anything that says it can heal that range of scarring/marks. It says it'll work on new scars to something like acne. They're completely different things! That's a big red flag for me. To relate it to another product, scarguard offer different types depending on age of scar. This goes for a few other products that offer something for new scars and something else for lightening old scars. When a product says they can do both, I tend to call BS.

However it does have silicone so that aspect at least will work, so I don't see it as useless. But I do still find the idea of adding vitamins futile. Your skin acts as a natural barrier for that stuff so vitamins I don't get. That's always feels like a gimmick to sell it, like saying McDonald food has vitamins lol.

Thanks, Jack.  I appreciate your input.  The acne scar concept, plus the age spots they say it decreases, gave me pause, as well.  The interesting thing is that the man who invented it specializes in breast mastectomy/reconstruction after breast cancer, so he was focused on scars in that area.

You know, it is really tough to say whether or not something works, as time is our friend in lightening of scars, as well.  Is it time or is it Memorex?  Oops, sorry.  Is it time or is it scar treatment?

Last thing...  I recall your posts before where you said that vitamins are unable to get through our skin.  I have meant to read up on this, as it is not something I have heard before.

Interesting. I got some of this. Funny as I am all sciency about stuff. A friend of a friend of mine got it and liked it. I don't believe anything but silicone is more than a little effective (so lots of things might work a little bit). I don't hold much for vitamins or onions (Mederma). But something with enough silicone would work regardless of the scar.

But here was my thoughts. It has silicone. I haven't been really happy with any form of silicone I have used so far (strips and Scarguard) and the reviews of lots of them are not so good (sticky, smelly, peels off, etc.). I actually really like it so far, but it really depends on if I get a month and half worth off it. If I don't it isn't really worthwhile, and if I do it is. I'm comparing the price to like ScarGuard, which I actually did not get a month out of, so maybe that's not fair. I probably got a month out of Scar strips.

The thing is you really can't tell how much is in the bottle. It has a really expensive looking cosmetic type bottle. I think the bottle's purpose might be that you get a more or less (very more or less) even squeeze (and perhaps to keep you from figuring out how much is left).

It is nice to apply, has a very nice smell (licorice, which I don't believe has any magic traits), and seems to stay on. It rubs on so this is hard to tell but there is a bit smooth feeling over the scar that seems to last all day. I applied some on earlier. The scar has a smooth feel to it.

I'll let y'all know how well it lasts.

Excellent!  Jay is our guinea pig and I don't have to spend the cash!  hee hee hee.  So, it sounds like you just started.  Let us know.  In the meantime, I will crack open my next bottle of Scar Away serum (this would be bottle #4), and wait to hear from you before ordering InviCible Scars.

The question for me is how much silicone is in it.  Scar Away serum (I had been calling it gel instead of serum for the last few weeks, sorry), is 100% silicone.  Nothing else in it.  So, that would be my concern about InviCible Scars...no way to know that how much silicone is in it, I assume.

Jay, as an aside, what were the brand of strips you had?

Guinea pig clone here. LOL. Well I don't think MOST of the stuff out there is 100% silicone. But that said, I think there is a lot of silicone as it is listed in all caps on the label and then the other ingredients follow (like active ingredient and the others, but it does not say that). ScarGuard isn't all silicone. It's hard to say re: the strips.  I'm curious how you like that stuff.
I used Target generic. I have heard this generally with the strips, that they curl up at the ends.

Yes, I know that Scar Guard is not all silicone, that is one reason I am not torn up about not being able to use it (flaking).

I am all about the Scar Away products.  http://www.myscaraway.com/

The strips were awesome, but they irritated my skin.  I bet that if the Target brand didn't irritate yours, these won't, either.  They stuck like a champ.  You can buy them in "long".  Now I am using the Scar Away serum due to the strip irritation.  The strips were comfortable and moved with my body.  The only thing that annoyed me about the strips was having to wash them and hang them to dry.

As an aside, the strips are wide enough that you can actually cut them long ways and get two strips out of them.  My incisions appear to be wider than yours and I was able to do it.

I got really tired of washing and drying them too. They kind of bothered me on a sensory level sometimes (I'm autistic.)Didn't mention that one. But if the cream doesn't last too long, I'll be looking for something else.
Scar away serum looks okay but there are a couple pure silicone products that get a little higher review on amazon, so I might be looking there.

The big negative to me on ScarGuard was the smell. Funny how NOBODY mentions this. Huge deal to me.

Well bottle only lasted 15 days for me. VERY bad buy.
And weird as well, you know how I said you couldn't tell how much was in the bottle? Well was that ever true. I literally seemed to have enough and then it was empty. Nothing at all in between.
I've gone to the Scar away serum.

That stinks it went so fast.  How many times were you applying it per day?

Also, what pure silicone serum scar product did you see on the web with good reviews?

Twice a day, which was the recommended frequency. It should have lasted 21-45 days according to the website. So no more of THAT.

Well there are a few of them.
xeragel ($20), prosil ($22), cicaSolution ($20). They all are rated 41/2-5 stars but don't have many reviews (5-17). Not sure if they are better than scaraway serum ($18 on amazon) with 3 1/2 stars but 77 reviews.
Does the scar away serum take awhile to come out fo the container, not sure I got any out.

Thanks for the info.

Two -three pumps at the most.  You will see the serum up around the little balls when it is ready.  I tend to use one squirt for the one side of my chest and then pump again for more serum for the other side.  I just glide it on, I don't really "massage" it because I want the "insulation" of the silicone around the incision for the day (stay thick) and also because those little balls hurt my chest if I rub them back and forth.

I read the directions. I don't know if my reputation can handle this. But it takes about 10 pumps to start the first time apparently. I like it pretty much and it looks fairly economical. At least sticking to this for the month. I might message with my fingers. I don't think those silver balls look to pleasant to me.

Yes, I guess the first time it does take more pumps.  For some reason I thought you meant subsequent treatments.  Yes, please report back what you think!

Hello, everyone!
I have burn scars and some dark spots on my face and i have been recommended invicible scars. My cousin's been using this and she's quite satisfied with the results too. Should i give it a try for my burnt scars and dark spots ?

Stana not sure you are in the right place, so to speak. (Appears to be on here for information on scar therapy.) But I see no reason not to answer the question. I wouldn't recommend it. While it's a nice product (smell, ease of applying, etc.) the active ingredient is silicone. I would just recommend Kelocote or Scaraway serum which are more or less the same thing. The ingredients like licorice don't have any research behind them. The above are a LOT cheaper. I got 2 weeks of use though these were likely more extensive scars than you have on  your face. There was also NO notice of how long I could get. I don't like picking up a bottle and not having any idea how much is in it. I think it's dishonest. When I pick up the Scaraway I know exactly how much is left.

Everybody is different so your cousin could just be healing easily.
