in the last 50 years estrogen levels in water supplies have had a 3 fold increase. my town has facebook page and the people on there love to moan about anything. after they got wind of this and that our area has some of the highest levels of estrogen in the uk their saying that it could be harming people and making people more femanine, gay or transsexual as its reducing mens testosterone levels.

if the estrogen levels are that high then maybe i should start bottling the water and selling it to my fellow girls on here as part of your hrt     who wants some

we are all beautiful in our own way its just some people don't see it :-*

Interesting to say the least, but I doubt it is high enough to cause any noticeable change. But you could always just start drinking more water can't hurt either way. best thing for you body after all ;)

Im assuming that it probably has more than e in it too...Also, from my understanding the estrogens found in water are environmental, not human synthesized (you wouldn't process is it, youd just filter it out as waste), therefore pretty much ineffective.  People just like to be alarmist about stuff like that.

I'm going to have a go at drinking more tap water but i doubt the levels are high enough to have any (i am on a diet high in phyto-estrogenic compounds) , but i just could not believe they are blaming the water for people being gay/ more feminine or trans

Here in the states, we get loads of it.  Frog, alligators and amphibian are being found with really screwed up sex parts.  1 out of 50 polar bears is hermaphoditic.  Ocean currents carry toxin laden warm water north, it cools and sinks but the ecb's etc get released and wend there way up the food change.  94% of Americans carry bisphenal B in their systems and that is an estrogen analogue.  It probably requires a lot more exposure to cause bodily transition, but there is plenty to set off hormone disruption in a fetus.  Trengenderism! brought to you by Dow Chemical.

Id agree completely except for the fact that ->-bleeped-<- and intersex conditions certainly predate the industrial revolution...  Its certainly possible its been made less rare, but not to the extent that most news sensationalize it to sound
