My mom is not supportive of my transition and does not understand anything about being trans. I've made up my mind to transition and do what I know is right for me. I'm already accepting that the fact that my mom may never be supportive and but I'm sure how to deal with the negativity when I'm transitioning (I still live with her and she supports me financially. Not health insurance, though.) Basically I'm not sure to stand up for my transition and not let her bother me.

Has anyone had any similar experiences with their family? If so, please share your experiences below so I can have an idea as to what to do.

I left home first. Some people can't do that for one reason or another. Could you see yourself being employed in the near future? Enough to live on? You could try going to college. That  way you could have a college that will help cover trans stuff and have a break from your parents watchful eye.

How does college cover trans stuff?

Sorry I'm in the same situation but I'll graduate high school next year!

Most four year colleges have some sort of health care as part of their package. Some of them will cover varying limits of trans care. You basically pay for insurance through the school when you go there. Good thing student loans and grants can cover it.

My initial plan was to work this summer but my mom wants me to study and prepare for college. I'm not sure if my college's health insurance covers trans things; I'll have to look into it. I already have money saved up and stuff (I believe it's around 7 thousand or something) and I have some extra here with me but that'll be for spending on my 18th birthday.

Thanks though!

Summer + study = not studying. Unless you have some entrance exam it is better to work in the summer so you aren't living off of ramen during the school year.
