Hi. Now that you are completely healed. Do you ever wear a dildo during normal everyday activities?

Why would I?  Dilation takes only 15 minutes, plus my daily shower, and it saves a ton of discomfort and a good chance of infection that "wearing" a dildo would do.  I know Posties who have used tampons, and did it once, only once!!  One told me her brain power was improved by NOT doing that ever again.

If by dildo, you mean a strap on penile prosthetic, again, WHY would I?  Why replace what I had (and I will confess got some OK stuff from) and wanted reconfigured by surgery, with a piece of silicone jelly that gives me no feeling.

Having a neo-vagina is not what fantasy sometimes makes it sound like.

Ewe. Not a strap on penis. Ha. I thought maybe an inserted thing might feel good. No?

As I mentioned Gina, post op, we MUST dilate on the schedule put out by our surgeons, and that can be a daily chore with only marginal enjoyment for the most part.  The sensations inside the actual vagina itself are nothing spectacular.  We can feel the location of the dilator in our vagina a little better than a natal woman can, but its no sexier or erotic than drumming your fingers on the opposite arm.  In the process of dilating we can massage the legendary "G"spot, but that would not happen with a dildo just "packed" inside our vagina.  I have had to wear women's sanitary pads during my post surgical recovery days, and it became very old, and not too pleasant or comfortable, and in absolutely no way erotic, as it was back in my CD days.

Post Op is NOT one big erotic dream come true, it is a daily life that we daydream about but never comes quite up to the really good daydreams in reality.  I have no regrets however that I am now post.

At this time I could possibly get along without the vagina. However, it would still be desirable to not have a penis, testicles, and scrotum; but still have a proper urethra relocation. I would not be concerned about hiding the appearance of having a smooth crotch and would not ever consider wearing a dildo for the appearance of having a penis.

What do you mean? I do not have a vagina. I do know that some CIS women wear dildos because it feels good. I am just asking a question. Is it a taboo subject? I resent the implication that my question is based on some erotic fantasy. What is 'planet and mind'??

UMMM -- Julie has her surgery date in her signature line, it does have a bearing on how things might be taken there!!  I was in her place a little over a year ago, and the idea of having something in my vagina any longer than necessary brings on a highly negative involuntary shiver up the spine.  When you are still pretty swollen and may have some surface healing going on that is painful and real to you, grumpiness can easily turn your question into something more offbeat than you say it is.

I am glad that you are not fantasizing about this, but I post on some other sites as well, where that is a huge problem with some of the posters, and there they admit that it is a principal motivation for wanting GCS, which is a terrible reason that needs to be trashed or tragedy can occur.  If your natal friends do wear a dildo, I am glad for them, but I would need to ask them what they get out of it really.  A quick check with my two daughters who are gg says they are aware of it in very rare places, but their friends have not done it.

If your post wasnt a fantasy thing then I apologise for the way I came across but it does happen and ive seen preops etc posting simular questions before I worry that people will get surgery for yhe wrong reasons ie they would find having a vagina erotic and do things with it being a reason for getting surgery while yes you do want full functionality etc its not the sort of question I would expect but thats me.

and wearing a dildo strapon hell no I just got rid of that I certainly wouldnt want to pentrate anything

vickys right as you are healing and dilating 3x a day  the last thing you want to do is wear a dildo I in there btw im very much in touch with my new genitals and enjoy them more than that junk

mind planet is what sort of planet is your mind on.

A vagina does take more maintenance than a penis whether you are cis or trans.  Never insert a tampon if you don't have fluid you want to absorb in there as any woman will tell you the pain and discomfort of pulling out a dry or partially dry tampon.

and I don't know of women who wear dildos
i apologize for being curious

Do you mean a bullet or something little like that?

Just trying to understand, I don't imagine you could easily walk around with anything more. I had tremendous dysphoria (not that everyone didn't, but I mean I couldn't even let doctors see me naked before) and I'm not squeamish about using a strap on/strapless strap on but I guess that's a more queer perspective.

...normal activities? No. I've done it once or twice in the bedroom, as my wife misses "real" penetration. (Not often, as it turns out the good-quality strap-ons are *expensive*! But it didn't bother me.) However, in my regular daily life I went to great lengths NOT to have anything sticking out there anymore. :)

I agree with you on that.  I take reasonable action to minimize the bulge. Would like to have a totally smooth crotch and not have the inconvenience of that thing.

I'm sorry. My original post was all about the self pleasure of having an inserted device IN your new vagina. I mean, long after you have healed down there. Sort of like a grope-suit concept.  ::)

Gina_Z, I am ftm and still have a vagina.  Cis women do put a pair a metal balls in vagina to help strength their muscles and give them pleasure while having them inside.  I know with tampons you must have them pushed in far enough or you feel them all the time, not comfortable at all. Some girls even put in two super tampons together so they have a fairly large object inside and they a comfortable as long as they are up far enough inside.  You probably need to experiment with what work for you, good luck.

I'm at 14 months post and don't care to have anything in me. I can't feel anything in there anyhow, so there would be little point.

What about wearing a strapless dildo, like the Share XS or the InJoyUs, for dilation? Like, pop it in and wear "it" under your clothes for a while, or while in the shower?

I am also FTM and can confirm that a lot of people find it pleasurable to keep kegel balls or a plug inserted while going about everyday life. I wear a plug around the house doing housework on occasion. I prefer plugs to kegel balls for that purpose because they don't shift around as much and risk making you uncomfortable, but I know some people actually enjoy the sensation of them shifting around in there. If you get a plug with a small enough base, it really doesn't get in the way, and kegel balls are obviously entirely internal. I would advise against using a standard dildo, because there's nothing to keep a standard dildo in place. It could easily fall out, or twist at an odd angle and bruise you internally. And obviously, don't put anything that's been in the back hole into the front hole before properly sterilizing it!

And yes, while it's not my thing, some people who are into kink get off on wearing one under their clothes when they're out in public, or having their sub wear one out in public. I honestly don't know whether doing it for extended periods like that is safe for MTF people, but it's not unreasonable for you to be interested in trying it.
