Love it! I tried to talk Emo into going that route! I recall the radical professor Angela Davis at UCLA Berkley back in the day had a magnificent afro they were all the rage, easy to maintain and look great on anybody that doesn't have totally straight hair to begin with. HS girls that did used to rat their hair and load it with hairspray for body. There's a young guy checker at the local supermarket that has a dynamite looking afro. Looking good Brandon!

Shantel, you are showing your radical roots!! (Yes, there's a pun in there.) I also have good associations from the past with this, but still have a young FB friend who is doing his hair natural like this. I think it looks great, and like another piece of acceptance of yourself as who you are.

You're probably right Jay, but there's fewer off them now, the roots I mean!  ;D I think the afro is doing a come-back, it can be pretty low maintenance for anyone with naturally nappy hair, unlike those caucasians with straight hair that requires a lot of processing to achieve the same effects.

Actually you don't have to have nappy hair to have a fro, I kinda take offence to that, You can comb straight through my hair because I am mixed, I don't have napps the only reason it appears that way is because I worked out and my hair got filled with sweat and dryed up.

It's a myth Shantel. Though I did have a young FB friend who explained all this stuff to me.

No offense intended hon, I was thinking in terms of how an African-American girlfriend of mine refers to her own hair type so it was really just a generalization about different hair types. Anyway I think you look good and it really doesn't matter how it got that way really does it? Anyway, I didn't intend to step on your toes or be insulting in any way dear.
