If that's the actual price for laser in Miami, then my BF and I are moving there and starting a business.  You could get a machine for $50,000 and then after 10 clients, it pays it self off. That's a rip off. In Philly, it's $350 for six sessions or something. And that's just looking without talking them down after you actually speak with them. Everything is negotiable. But, $1,200 is hardly "hella affordable." Unless you're independently wealthy.

Joanna maybe I'll see you in Miami competing next door to you.

Seems like cash grows on (palm) tree's afterall. :D

All my dark hairs are gone but I gotta do something about these grays soon. Shaving is tearing my skin up (I've always had sensitive skin -now more so from my hrt) and I'm afraid of scarring. I already have enough facial scars to deal with from my accident. I don't have much left, and I do have the carbon dye to make my lasers effective on light colored hair which has been working but the going is slow. I may check and see how much electro is to get rid of what's left and if it isn't too much I'll go for it. I'm ready to throw my razors away for good, lol!!

It does sound that you will need electro to finish the hair removal.   I am not that good at estimating the number of hairs I have left.  But if you have a 1000 or less then this is a 3 hour or less galvanic session.  While I am achieving a full clearance each week I have another 6 weeks before I have cleared on each week of a full 12 week growth cycle.   Then I assume or hope that any new follicles will be easily handled on an irregular maintenance regime - hope this would be an hour or less every 2 weeks for a further 12 weeks.

I could be a little optimistic but my electrologist thinks I will be pleasantly surprised and is planning to use any spare time not needed on my face and neck,  on my ears, brows, minor back and chest hair.

I am a little jealous that laser worked so well for you.  However while mine has taken ages I am close to the end and it is really exciting to see the hair disappearing from my face.   The HRT and laser pretty much cleared the rest of my body.

I'm having some serious doubts people are getting 6 sessions for 125.  Unless you mean 125 each session?  In that case, whoops!

It depends on how much you have done and where you live (I live in the L.A. area).

I got a groupon package of 6 laser sessions for $119, but that deal was either for the face and a small portion of the neck, or the neck and a small portion of the face. I chose the face and small portion of the neck. When I had exhausted those sessions I bought a full neck and face package of 6 sessions for $200.

Some of the prices i've seen people post for laser seem crazy high.

In Sydney a full body laser treatment and touch up a week later cost approximately USD 1 000 so LA prices sound pretty darn good in comparison.  Galvanic electro is approx USD 400 for 3 hours so hair removal is a significant but unavoidable cost.

Oh my hrt cleared what little body hair I had on it's own. As light skinned as you are in your Avatar with dark hair you have laser should have worked well for you as well. Maybe you had a bad technician idk. My Native American skin is darker than yours and I treated myself with laser and IPL. My IPL works faster but my face is so small the device is too big to use on it so laser was my only choice for my face. I use my IPL for my legs which, are almost cleared however I need more bulbs for it atm. before I can continue, and right now money is tight, so I can't afford the $120. for the three bulbs I'll need to finish my legs. So right now for my legs, Veet is my friend.

I'll check into electro but if it's going to be real expensive I'll buy a device and treat myself if necessary. My biggest argument with electro is having to let the hair grow out some before each treatment.
