I realize this should go in the news section, but I am overwhelmed and I wanted to share with anyone else who is a Massachusetts resident on state care. I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, realizing that they're putting the bill into effect in the coming weeks (I'm not sure if I explained that correctly, I'm not very good with government bureaucracy terms). This sort of thing tends to pass, though.

I really am just beside myself with glee. I had a huge financial plan for GRS, including not spending any money for a long, long time (something I am already doing for FFS) and having to live at home, likely 30 or 31 years of age by the time I can manage. This saves me so much of my time.

I don't know what else to say. I hope there are others of you out there who benefit from this; I am ecstatic.
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?

I am on masshealth and when I heard about this I imedietely started planning for my surgery. As I understand it the new rules apply only to Masshealth programs to require covering HRT and SRS and it strongly recommends that any other health insurance operating in MA do the same. SRS went from being a very distant dream to a reality for me and I am so excited!
