Ok, so firstly please bear this in mind - I know not everyone is into piercings and that's great, no need to bash me for my interests.

Has anyone here had a genital piercing of any kind done post SRS, and if so how long did you wait? Did it help you with sensation?
I am pretty sure I will end up with a VCH (vertical clitoral hood), my motivation is really to increase sensitivity. If you're unfamiliar with the idea it's a little bar that rubs on the clitoris slightly, in most people it improves their sensations.

It is very safe, doesn't interfere with dilation, I have a great piercer and the blessing of Dr. Sanguan (he actually said "Pics or it didn't happen").

OK, so he doesn't talk like that but I asked if it was too early and he said there's no reason for concern and he does want pictures for his portfolio.

(apologies if it's been asked before, I did search).

Is was recommended by my Surgeon not to put any piercings down there.

We are not CIS females and have had to get things moved around. Nerves are not the same and can be damaged.

I would stay away but each there own risk.

I detailed the piercing to Dr. Sanguan - where it goes and what it does -  and he said there would be no problems with it being done properly (i.e. by a good piercer). I'm not really sure exactly where the hood skin comes from to be honest, I probably should have asked him. I was concerned about perhaps damaging the clitoris with something rubbing against it and he said that wasn't an issue.

I am still torn about it to be honest, I believe it to be safe, I really want it and I can't find any disaster stories from cis-women  (or any from trans women) but there is a bit of anxiety over what ifs. I don't know, if I get it and it goes wrong I will front up for an I Told You So.  :-\

I had a consult with the piercer today, it's not possible to do the standard VCH for me as I don't have enough of a hood. We might try it further down the track through the labia majora in the same spot so the ball still has the same effect (falls on the clitoris) but that is a bit more serious in terms of healing time and at this stage I'm not ready to do that.
