Hi everyone,   I am in quite a crappy predicament right now.   I got a job this week but don't start for 7-14 days which is awesome that i got a job finally.   Unfortunately it wasn't soon enough and I'm being forced out of my living situation on July 10th no leniency.   Im freaking out I finally find employment but by the time i start I'm going to be homeless.  I have exhausted all avenues of getting money for a small place of my own,  my family has all but written me off.  The only thing i can think off, is if anyone here on Susans lives in vegas and is willing to take me in for a month while i get the money for my own place.

:( I've read this a few times now, Sophie, but I can't help, as I don't live anywhere near Vegas. Are there any friends who would be willing to let you sleep on their couch or anything? A shelter may work if you can find a place to store your belongings for a short time while you save up money to get back on your feet, which wouldn't take too long.

I wish there was some way I could help.

Sophie, I can relate to that as far as being evicted. It is truly a bummer. Luckily I had a friend of mine, plus his wife, help me move, as I couldn't afford movers and I couldn't do it all myself with my bad back problems. I barely came up with the deposit and rent for that first month at an apartment complex down the road. Luckily they took me, as I was not on good terms with the landlord from the old place. I know that it is not same situation as not having a place at all, but it sure came close to it if the new place didn't want me as a tenant. Yes, I wish I could help you, too, but Chicago area isn't exactly next door! Plus I am supporting a disabled sister, meaning no roommates, no room.
