I'm finally on the waiting list for an appointment with an endo!

The public system here is weird. The GP who referred me said that usually how it works is they send you to the endo first and then they will decide whether you need councelling/therapy and refer you on from there. This sounds like the opposite of what I've heard most people on this forum say.

In any case, I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks for me to get an appointment but it's been a month now and I haven't got a letter yet confirming the date. Not knowing is the most frustrating part. I've thought about trying to go private so I don't have to wait but I'm not sure whether it would be covered by my health insurance.

Despite this I'm happy to now be 'in the system'. It feels like I'm finally making progress.
He says the best way out is always through.
And I agree to that, or in so far
As that I can see no way out but through

Congratulations on your progress.

Having to wait a few months isn't bad, as long as you have the ball rolling. :)
