act of using any bathroom

I was curious as to if HRT affects the process of going to the bathroom. Ive noticed that guys have a tendency to make quite loud noises when going number 2. Ive always tried not to, but I can't always help it. Granted its not like I'm in the girls room when its occupied. Somehow I can't see the SRS changing this.

I've never grunted when using the bathroom, but I've always been shy and quiet about everything, well, until I came here, then I start talking about cucumbers.

I don't see how gender transition would affect that at all, except that maybe women are more socially conditioned to hold it until they can get home.

I was trying to politely refer to farting. I know its normal, but its always embarrassed me.

um.. a courtesy flush?  problem is when you're in a stall with auto-flush (magic all-seeing eye) and cant make it flush when you want it to.  If you have a lever-type.. other than (ewwww, actually) touching it, I'd hit it with my elbow to action it.  And if you did Lil Lupes Mexican Bar and Cantina for lunch.. all bets are off.. just forget it and "go with da flow"..   When I'm on a trip, even in my own hotel room, and I -know- someone is in the room next door.. run the water, sink or shower.. yes, I know it's childish, but honest to God, you know there are apps for your phone that fake the sound.. so if it's got technology to mask it  :/

Actually I had the opposite problem with auto flush. It went too often. So me and just about every one else would hang a piece of TP over the sensor and then it wouldn't go off. The catch is you have to remember to hit the button afterword.

I would say it's a case of learning to control the passage of gas... so instead of a rip roaring raspberry that sounds like someone just started a chainsaw, aim for the whoosh of a gentle spring breeze...

Coming here is how i always start off my day...today it starts with smiles...thank you so much awilliams1701... one of my kids boys...one of fours...my biggest supporter once asked me if thru all of this, would one of the results be that i would no longer fart...he has a notorious problem with that...i told him that yes, that is one of the changes that does happen...you do tend to become fart-less. (on another kinda funny note here..we think it is at least...my soon to be ex...had a portion of her colon removed due to colon cancer a few years back...she's doing fine now, thank you...anyhow...we had hoped that the doc would have removed the twelve inch fart producing portion...but alas, he did not...seems like...well i just don't want to say...lol.)

First, number 2, then cucumbers, then onto courtesy flushes. This is getting out of hand quickly. I am having trouble restraining myself from toilet humor (my achilles heel).

I don't think there's necessarily any physical differences in bodily functions, but you will learn very quickly that there is a HUGE cultural difference. Men don't give two s***s about letting out a big subwoofer-worthy racket when they do it, while women are sometimes too discrete to even go #2 in a public bathroom, (look up "poop standoffs." Yes, they happen.) Or if they do, they make a special effort to do it as quietly as possible.

I don't think it's physical, it's just cultural. Men: "who cares, get out of my way," Women: "sorry for taking up too much space, and sorry for making too much noise, and sorry for making anyone else uncomfortable."

I wouldn't say that girls don't fart. But it seems like they fart less and its less powerful. In public its not too hard to control, but when you're emptying your system its a lot harder to control.

Less powerful? Are you sure? I've heard some really explosive ass blasts in the women's bathrooms over the years. And whew, can they make a mess!

I like that, "Poop Standoffs".  Each woman on the toilet waiting for the other to go or finish first before they do, afraid the other will smell or hear them going, silly but that's how it is, for those that have that prissy kind of bathroom habit. 'Looks at self', fart comes out, barely audible, thank goodness.

I work in a very male dominated factory, and can honestly say that most guys tend to be morons in public bathrooms. I've never seen the humor (then again, I'm a girl  ) but apparently it is some unspoken competition to see who can be the most obnoxious. I have heard guys where I work actually try to make it loud.
