Well, not really. Yes it will delay you, but if you think about it, waiting until you are sure will delay you even more. At least when you have made your mind up you will already be seeing them regularly and not have to sit on a waiting list for your first visit.

Thanks for the replies girls, JudithLynn would you mind sharing the names of the beauty therapists/electrolysis that you use, how trans friendly are they? i have realised there are a couple local to me (in in cornwall btw) just no idea if they are trans friendly, i think i will go with laser at first and see what sort of results i get (im dark haired) as it sounds a lot quicker than electrolysis which will reduce the time im stuck with my beard, even if i wherent trans i would not miss the beard!, however since reading laser should now be covered on the nhs i think im better waiting on that until i see the gic, thanks for the tip on padma i will get in touch at some point, billiejane have you been to the laurels yet? thats who i should be referred to, dont feel like a fraud though for using their services until you are sure, its best to be sure before you start off on this journey

Hi BillieJane;
What a pity I am just back in Australia after 3 weeks in the cottage in Sidmouth. I wish I had known before as we could have met up. I will keep you on my list to call when I am next back. Have a look at my posts 200+ to give you some idea of my history.

PS Padma lives near Exeter.

Hi Cass;
The place I recommend is Tao Hair Clinic and Beauty Therapists. They are located in Queen Street, just down the road from Exeter Central Station. I had a lot of beauty therapist sessions including a lot of electrolysis and waxing. They were/are very TS Friendly. I presented in both female and male mode.

Their web site is at: http://taoskincareandlaserclinic.co.uk/

I also have two in Honiton.
Best of luck
