Hey guys, I'm Christine (Christie by most) and I love to write, especially inspirational stories about transition and change. So without further ado I present with you a story I wrote originally for my little sister who is now 8, but ended up giving it dual meaning (a meaning to her and then my personal meaning for it)
The Ugly Caterpillar
There once was a caterpillar. He was not pretty, he was very plain. All the other caterpillars made fun of him ("that's mean!"- Sarah, I love little kids) even his friends picked on him. One day he crawled around and saw all the other caterpillars had gotten there cocoons but not he ("aww"- Sarah) the other caterpillars soon turned into butterflies but he had just gotten his cocoon, even his cocoon was very ugly. ("This is sad"- Sarah) Then one day, the ugly caterpillar burst out of his cocoon! The other butterflies marveled at his wondrous design and beauty. And everyone was happy. The end. ("I like that story! Can I be the caterpillar for Halloween?"- Sarah)
I'll let you guys pick up the meanings cause who knows might mean something different to all of us.
