Jay27

So...after dawdling around on this website for a while now, I've decided to introduce myself.

I go by Jay, and after a long identity crisis I have (finally) concluded that I am genderfluid. I have already told my mother, but my friends are not aware just yet. I suppose it won't be much of a shock to them, as I have been dressing and acting either male or female for quite some time. A number of people have already given me the "what gender are they?" stare, but I try not to let it get under my skin. As long as I am happy and confident with who I am, I should not have to care what other people may or may not think. I will still worry, of course (as I am not indestructible), but I shall try to keep in mind what really matters.

Just by realizing who I want to be has made me feel entities better about myself, and I hope to help other people achieve the same kind of bliss. I joined this website in hopes of gaining and providing advice and support for people who are in similar positions. A sense of community and belonging is always nice. I may be new to everything, but maybe someone out there can make use of my newbie tips.

______
A little bit about my interests and such, as I didn't mention any above:

+ I enjoy drawing, reading, writing, and thinking.
+ I listen to a lot of music, but I have no preferred genre.
+ The universe and everything in it is awesome and terrifying and I could spend hours talking about it.
+ If you let me play with your hair I will love you forever.
+ Languages are great and I will learn as many as I can within the amount of time that I have on this Earth.

Welcome to the forums, Jay. We seem to have similar interests as I also like reading, drawing and writing and I'm glad that you've joined in order to give other people who need some support. Kudos to you and I hope to see you around often. ;)

Thank you all!

Blue:

Good to hear that there's someone who has similar hobbies as I do! I'll try my best not to be shy around the forums, so you may see me here and there.

Jessica:

Thank you for referencing the rules and guidelines for me! I'll try my very best to follow them accordingly. I'm glad to know that Susan's is so welcoming...I feel comforted already!

Ellie:

Merci! Je voie que vous parlez Français aussi. J'attendrai pour vos cheveux hehe. Désolé si mon conjugaison n'est pas très bon, le Français n'est pas ma langue maternelle.

Sans souci, j'ai bien compris ;)
Not my langue maternelle either, but je suppose que c'est a Canadian thing, eh?
Thanks for waiting ;)

Ellie:

Oui, c'est certainement une aspect d'être Canadienne. I've been in bilingual schools all of my life, but English is still my strongest (oops!).

Poetic:

Thank you! I like the quote in your signature, by the way.
