Just like the title says! When it comes to swimming and the battle of the sexes, there are trades between buoyancy and strength. Having been a very strong swimmer, I was wondering if a loss of strength is compensated for by the extra buoyancy, or is it a net loss?
If you torture the truth long enough, it'll confess to anything.

Really, thats one of those things that comes down to practice... In competition, men are a bit faster, but otherwise, from my experience, more women are better swimmers than men (they tend to stand around splashing eachother and playing water football, yiiickk).  Well practiced either gender will beat a not so practiced opposite gender.  About the same level, really its very slight edge to male.

I swim alot, its kinda strange but I have noticed some times have changed on laps some improved while others are a little slower now.  I do have a injury that limits the time but it was measured pre HRT untill now.
Swimming under water has become harder.  I seem to pop to the surface now and have to wear more weight when I SCUBA dive.
