WASHINGTON — A bill that would permit charter schools to discriminate against students based on sexual orientation caused an uproar in the General Assembly last week.

I don't see how this would ever pass. Any school that receives ANY federal funding is not allowed to discriminate (even for transgender students), otherwise they will loose their funding.
