i've been on t for 2 months now and i have a question about your time of the month when on t.

when you first are starting t and your period is going away i guess, did you guys get moody when it was suppose to be near your time of the month? at least when your period was first stopping? i was never moody before when my period rolled around but now i seem to be and idk if it is because my body is adjusting or what but it is just an irritated feeling i guess?? idk if it is just me or if i should talk to my doctor about it or what but some insight would be helpful.

I was pretty moody when I first started T. I don't remember what it was like around that time. My periods disappeared pretty fast. Eventually everything settled down, and now I feel more chill.

My doctor also started having me inject once a week instead of every other week to keep my T levels more consistent.

I like to think that when you are first starting out on T that the T and E are raging a war inside your body. Then the T just takes over, wins the war. That sort of thing. It might take some time, so don't give up. And if you feel out of control, talk to your doctor. And please do not inject more than prescribed.

What he said ^ your hormones are in an uproar right now. Essentially you're going through puberty over again but you're doing it the male route. Teen angst time!
No really though, I got cranky too. Especially when I'm tired or hungry, I get pretty cranky still. I'm not sure if I picked up grown man traits or five year old boy traits...

I never really understood most of what was going on with people who had pms until I got on T, and then it was like I was living a cliche of a crazy bloated bleeding machine until the testosterone took over and the periods stopped.

Welp, after reading this lot, I'm glad I have a lot of benzos on hand for the first couple months of T and Aunt Flo.

my doctor gives me my shots so i wouldn't be able to inject more than prescribed anyway. this makes sense though and now i feel better knowing it wasn't only me i guess. my period did end up coming later and much lighter and now i feel better now that it is done. it is just really weird being super irritated during that time because i'm usually not. definitely can't wait for it to stop.

My moods were never influenced by that dreaded shark attack, so testosterone did not influence that. That being said, I agree with your hormones going haywire for some time. With me, it was like there was a war going on, making me bleed for weeks on end (like spotting) until it finally gave up three months after starting T. I thought it'd never end.

Since female hormones vary during the month and t is about constant all the time, there is a varying battle between the two during your cycle.  The good thing is that t wins in the end.  How battle goes is different in each of us.  I hope t win quickly for me.
