In the audit report, How well does Australian democracy serve sexual and gender minorities, Dr Sarah Maddison from the University of New South Wales and Emma Partridge from the University of Technology, examined the impact of Australia's legislative and policy frameworks, as well as social attitudes that affect the rights of gay, lesbian, transsexual and intersex Australians.
