I've totally been lurking since yesterday and decided that I better say hello. I prefer to be called Hunter, which surprisingly enough I've used for a long time, way before I even considered myself (or even knew the term) transgender. I've belonged to a lot of online communities over the years, mostly for writing (rpgs, and what not) so writing on forums is old hat.
I'm 25 years young and still trying to find my way in this world. I have a degree in Graphic Design, which I honestly still don't know how to explain to people. I do stuff on the computer like design printed, and digital/web media?!? Yeah? Yeah. Heh, which also gives me the excuse to mess around with the photoshop. Just recently I required my first full-time job at a university, and have moved away from my parents and started living on my own (ew the adult thing). I'm also a musician; clarinet would be the first instrument I actually learned, played through college, and participated in community band. I come from a musical family. Dad plays organ and piano, so I naturally took up that instrument, but I had to learn it myself cause no one wanted to teach me. I showed them, HA! Sister plays cello and teaches strings/music kids from elementary on through high school. Mom sings. I sing all the time... omg the Bee Gee's are on Pandora right now and I have to just be happy with wiggling in my chair.
I still live a double life, going to work as one gender and being at home as another. Only my sister and a few close friends know that I think of myself as male. I'm choosing to stay in the closet where my parents are concerned because mom had a hard time when I told her I was dating another female... long story short I'm working on it. lol
Really underneath all my insecurities (I do have them, more than whats heathy) I'm a pretty friendly outgoing type of guy looking for friends. I'm a nerd that can't read enough fiction, or watch enough frakking things on netflix. I'm just getting over my binge of Game of Thrones at the moment. I'll probably be hitting up the entertainment forum because I'm obsessed with Got, Downton Abbey, Mighty Boosh, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek Voyager (yeah Captain Janeway!), Harry Potter, and much much more. Ok I'll put a lid on it.
