I missed the first appointment with my therapist on second stage funding, and in the mean time I was sent an appointment from the Nuffield to see Dr Terry Down for laser hair removal.
As luck would have it I also had an appointment with my therapist later in the pm.
Dr Downs at the Nuffield said that he would help me once I had been on Hormones for 3 months, but it was a waste of time untill then as the male hormones in me would encourage hair growth again.
Many times the Gic send clients to him before being put on Hormones which is wasting Dr Downs time.
I spoke to the therapist at the GID clinic in Newton Abbott Devon that pm, and all I get is figures of other success rates over the years and what others have done.
Basically flannel and avoiding the point to discuss me.
I tried to pin him down on me and what I require and how long untill he will refer me to the doctor.
More excuses from him.

He said that he would like me to make a statatory declaration from me, and for me to change all my personal information from my male name to my female name, and he will in the mean time send me a letter of passage.
This I will start doing this week.
Should make life interesting on the check out paying by card.

However, he put me off untill September where he will decide (
maybe) about a refferal......Dont hold your breath !!

I believe
Berliegh is right all along, the Gic is a waste of time and that going private is much the best idea.
There are some sucess stories but when you look at the figures over the years there are so few Ts getting satisfaction from the clinics, that I worry what happens to all these poor lost souls that are lost in a system of bureaucracy where the Gic only interest in the person is how much money that they can make out of them in two years of therapy.
