Hi all. I'm Jessica Newiss. I identify as bigender. I spend most of my time on the
bigender.net forum but have been lurking here for a while now. Only reason for it is that I used to participate in some other forums for games or hobbies I have had and I know that I'd personally spend way too much time socializing here if given the chance. But I figured I should at least post an intro finally and maybe start getting involved.
I posted the address to my blog a few weeks back in the blog section here. I usually write about my experiences going out and some other thoughts about TG stuff. I need to get better about posting something more than twice a month.
I haven't figured out how to upload an avatar yet.
I didn't realize that Jessica was a popular name for my age group before I chose it. I tried Jesse for a while because it works both ways but it never really sat well with me. I decided on the last name by looking up my legal last name and choosing the oldest root version of it that I could find that also wasn't too weird or hard to spell. Bonus is that there's only one other person by my name that I could find.
I am pretty out. My mode and presentation is mostly based on what I'm doing. Or lately it seems like it might be based on what clean clothes I have available

But seriously, I am in guy mode for work and during the day usually. Social stuff, online, and weekends are mostly girl mode.
I don't really feel like I experience dysphoria. And I think maybe I'm kinda of odd because I think I can control my "flips," if I even have flips. But when I'm female, I'm very distinctly female. And when I'm male I'm very very male.
I'm pretty involved locally in some parts of the TG community. But I don't just go to LGBT specific events or bars/clubs. I do mostly when I'm with friends who only feel comfortable going to those places. But given a choice, I'll go to random dive bars, karaoke, or Starbucks. One of my friends joked that I could go to a Westboro Baptist convention and make friends.
I think maybe that's enough rambling for a first post.

If anyone wants to know anything else, just ask.
And thanks for providing us all this wonderful site.
