Does it get worse as testosterone levels decrease?

For the women who transitioned after your 20s, did your ability to just carry on living as male diminish as your testosterone decreased?

So as a male ages, testosterone gradually decreases. At 22 I figure I'm at or near the peak testosterone I'll have in my life, and I'm kind of wondering if that is responsible for a lot of "brain fog" that I get. It's pretty hard to dig myself out of the ruts I get in now, but most of the time I'm able to reach a kind of "whatever" stage and just feel the dysphoria less, for a while.

I'm trying to do everything I possibly can other than having to transition (family reasons, plus being physically too male looking to pass) however I'm very worried that I'm just going to end up having to face this again but 5 or 10 years down the line and with commitments.

So really, is there a link between testosterone levels and being able to "fight off" the depression of dysphoria? Thanks

You mean does gender dysphoria lessen with age? In a word:

No.

Actually it gets worse, which is probably why so many people transition in their 30s and 40s as not only is that still something you deal with every day, you're more aware that life is, while short, also long. You don't want to spend it living a lie.
