i hope this is the right place to post this, there's so many subforums and such i'm not used to this many options...

okay so. i'm a 20 year old trans man, i've been on testosterone for about 11 months now (which is something i just realised as i typed and it cheered me up a little haha), and before i went on t, i had a pretty high sex drive, so you can imagine the torture i'm going through daily with an even more enhanced one.

as such, i tend to jerk off whenever i take a shower, because it's private and nobody tends to walk in unannounced when they know someone's showering. for the record, i use my front, because the idea of using my butt has always left me feeling a little sick, and i don't enjoy it as much anyway. recently, i've been using bigger toys to get my fix, but i've also noticed that this comes with a problem...

i use water based lubricant and i am very careful with inserting my toys so that i don't cause myself any damage, but i've noticed that despite all my care, i still bleed a bit when i use toys. naturally, i'm a little embarrassed to ask around, and google doesn't seem to yield any results that aren't badly worded or for menopausal women for some reason. or they immediately say it's cancer, which does nothing for my hypochondria at all haha.

i haven't had my period in about 17 months, which is another cool fact i didn't properly realise until now, so bleeding doesn't happen any other time. it's only when i jerk off. and i must say, there's no bigger turn off than panic and worry.

this has only happened twice so far, as i figured the first time i used the toy, which is a small bad dragon product if that gives you an idea of the size :icon_redface:, it was just me pushing past my hymen a little too hard. i swore to go a little slower and easier this time around, but it still bled, and this time it even hurts a little, which it didn't last time at all!

i'm just wondering if this is a typical thing, and if i should just try to take it even easier if i can, or if i really should see a doctor? naturally i've been too embarrassed until now, but i'm hoping it's just me being a bit too rough on myself.

hopefully my description helps, if you have any questions that might help feel free to ask. thank you!

I think most of us prefer to not use that hole at all. You lose elasticity and self lube when on T, it basically atrophies. I'm at a loss on why you would want to even with a high libido.

my question wasn't necessarily "how do people feel about my method of getting off compared to theirs", but thank you for your input? lol...

i already feel pretty goddamn weird for using my front to begin with, and considering i did say using the other doesn't do much for me and doesn't sit right with me, i figured it was a given why i use my front. it's just better for me out of two already pretty terrible options. i was just wondering if maybe other guys used it too for the same reason. different strokes for different folks and all that.

i'm guessing then from your answer that it is to be expected so thanks for that part i suppose.

I'll take a stab at it here. I'm married to a man and my husband and I are ... Very active. We typically do anal but it isn't always convenient so we've used the front to. So no judging here. I didnt get any atrophy or dryness with T. I'm 2 years in and I have no problem with my front at all. I'm going to hazard a guess and say that you may be hitting too far back and causing some bleeding. When the husband and I use certain toys I have a little bit of red tint when I clean up after.

That being said, it's a rare thing and I'm hardly ever sore after. It sucks to just e frustrated but I think maybe you should take a few days and let your body recover. If you still have bleeding and pain after a few days you might want to talk to a doctor.

I don't understand the need to be penetrated anywhere. Not front NOR back. It has nothing to do with how I feel about it.

My Doctors are the ones who told me problems could come from atrophy due to taking the T. That was the explanation I offered.

I was told this too. I'm odd in that I got the opposite but sometimes I wish I hadn't. Atrophy and dryness in a pretty big problem for some when they start T though, and I remember my doctor cautioning me on skin sensitivity and tearing.

Your preference is for lack of penetration is just that, your preference. You might not understand the need to penetrate, but that's irrelevant with regard to the question.

Irrelevant to the original question but not to the response.

Furthermore, just because you don't prefer to use your holes doesn't mean others don't. In fact, I'd say the majority of transfolk I know use their parts... sex and body positivity are paramount.

I never said others don't want to use their parts. I gave an opinion and stated it as such.

From a fellow fan of penetration to another: Since starting testosterone, I've experienced something similar through masturbation but not sex itself. I told my doc and she said that was fairly normal and to keep myself lubed. As long as you have no discomfort, all should be good in the hood! If you think it might be more, don't hesitate to talk with a medical professional... sure, it might be awkward but that's life and it's only momentary.

When I started T my doctor told me if I was going to be having penetrative sex, to use lube, because the T drys stuff up down there, personally I don't like being penetrated,so I usually stick to the clit, but it def doesn't get as "wet" as it use to down there. Try using some lube and see if it helps any.

thank you to everyone who responded positively! its also good to know some others do actually like penetration, makes me feel a little less like a weirdo ahaha.

i'll try to take even more caution next time. i'll leave it for now just to give myself some time to heal up, but it's good to know it's most likely just a case of the t. i never got told much about the sexual side of things by any doctors because i just didn't think to ask mostly out of embarrassment, it probably would have helped me be less paranoid if i had. thank you!

I think you're definitely hitting something you're not supposed to be, lol. Are you getting friction after a while or do you keep it well lubed throughout? I don't have a self-lubrication problem so I don't know if you'd need more later on or what...
But I have made myself bleed while trying to use something too larger or not lubed enough to begin with myself.

I imagine it's okay as long as you're not sore after though??

AND I think plenty of men use their front hole! Don't let anyone make you feel weird about that.

Thought I'd inject my 2 cents. I have the same problem at times and had even before T. My cervix is closer to and more pronounced in the canal and if bumped even once (which happens more than I wish it did) I bleed a bit. Sometimes a lot. You can guess husband and I were pretty freaked out when it happened the first time.
I've spoke with doctors and had exams and nothing is wrong. It's just that my cervix gets irritated very easily. No damage just some blood. I don't even feel pain either. It just happens then clears up.

It never hurts to have an exam? But if you aren't feeling any pain, noticing any type of weird discharge, infection, flushing, heat in the area ect and it doesn't hurt? The exam isn't absolutely necessary.
I run a FtM blog where I pour my experiences out for others to read. Check it out!
