Hi,

I'm gonna have surgery in Montreal (because it's paid if I do it here and I live in Montreal, so yeah), but there are two doctors at the clinic.

As I understand, Dr. Bélanger is a surgeon trained by Brassard, so she should to more or less the same thing. All the same, I always hear of Brassard, and I wanted to know if Bélanger was any different. Because it's not clear to me if "I went to see Brassard" means Dr. Brassard himself or his clinic in general.

Anyway. I'd like good results...

As I understand it, barring unexpected circumstances, they do the operations together - not sure which focuses on which details (or they take turns?) but they can finish the operation so fast in part because they work as a team. So, yeah, you get both of them regardless of which you signed on for.

I am about two years post-op and thrilled with my results, btw. :) Congrats and good luck!!

Hi!

When doing srs, both dr Brassard and dr Belanger will work on you. Dr Brassard will start with the delicate work, switch to patient number 2 and do the same. While he does the other patient Dr Belanger will continue the work on you. At some point they share/swap. At least this is what I read from several reports

Yes this what Jenna said.

What i got from mine in April 2013 is Dr. Brassard does the main operation and Dr. Belanger does the prep for the neo vagina lining and the final closing.

Both handle the after care rounds and work together.

Its like back in the day when Dr Brassard was learning from Dr Manard.

All will be just great, care has not changed a bit.

Aftercare has changed since my GCS but it seems to be to make things easier.

Izzy is dead on, I asked how they split it up when I was there in May.i was told Dr Belanger started, Dr brassard does the vaginal canal, clitoris, etc the Dr Belanger closes. However when I asked Brassard about something that happened when I came out of sedation, he said that he was standing at my feet. Maybe he stayed to the end since I was his last for the day,

I am having it with Brassard in conjunction with Belanger. I believe all the surgeries they do are together, unless since the time I booked my surgery now she does it alone? Just like Menard and Brassard worked together so Menard can retire, I think Brassard is doing the same.

Plus remember, with a new doctor brings the training from the previous doctor (Brassard) and also new and improved techniques.
Got my surgery in my early 20's, now in my mid 20's living stealth
