I've had two appointments now with my therapist, she is awesome!!

I didn't check my insurance first, but in the section on what is not covered the transgender section is more specific than any other group of paragraphs in the entire 50 pages of the benefits drescription.  She is billing it as something else, so I can continue to see her (whew!).

I make just enough money that it puts me out of range of much government or nonprofit help, but just poor enough that spending out of pocket for transition stuff would be a slow go, if at all at times.  Right now I couldn't afford anything at all until I get some things taken care of.

I could use the VA, but I am not sure if I would have to go to them for the whole everything at that point or if it is just possible to use the endo there ( I should research this. I have only used the VA once my knowledge is limited).  I need a new primary doctor anyway, but I think I might just change to a doctor that is at the same office I go to now except he is on several of the trans resource lists I have seen.

Is there anything I might not know about and should know?  Any advice?  I have heard good things about VA help on this subject and the hospital here is great, but still a little uneasy going there to talk about transgender things.
