Anything from just playing a character different from your IRL gender and how people reacted to weird fantasy or sci-fi elements that resulted in in-game gender shenanigans. I'll kick it off with this.
In a Pathfinder game I'm running, there is a pack of blink dogs whose pack and home territory is under attack by Barghests--kind of like the magical goblin version of a werewolf. A nearby wizard created collars for them that allow them to assume a human form. Blink dogs are as smart as people so once they're human, they can train in anything a human can do, like wizardry. This was meant to help level the fight a little bit and to allow the blink dogs an easier means of diplomacy with local humans to try to recruit some help.
The party killed an evil drow character who had stolen one of the collars, probably killing a dog in the process. Basically, the collar allows the wearer to assume the form of a specific human. The creator has a son who moved away and fashioned the male collars after him so all the male blink dogs look like him when they become human. Meanwhile, anyone can use the collar to transform into that specific human, so the drow was using it to go do business in town without getting immediately attacked. So anyway, now the party has one of these collars. The female bard claimed it and said she's going to experiment with being male mentioning things like having some private time in the woods to explore private parts. I totally didn't expect that reaction. She's a married cisgender (though bi) housewife IRL.
What sorts of experiences like this have you had in your games?
