When I asked my parents what they would have named me had I been born anatomically correct the response was Erin.
I felt that this was a nice name, but that it didn't quite feel right to me.
I looked at similar names and rediscovered Eris (the Greek deity who started the Trojan war with a shiny piece of fruit and the 10th "planet" in our solar system).
All was well until my father voiced the opinion that people might mishear it as "arse"...
Now I find myself in a dilemma, I still like the name but not the possible implications of going by it.
I'd like to ask you to say the name aloud and see whether you feel that that it... sounds like "arse" XD
If required here's an example of how it is pronounced. I prefer eh-riss to ee-riss so would be leaning more in that direction.
