I was looking around my room today, and I realized, that this, is a girl's room lol. I guess it should be obvious, I am a girl, even if I have the wrong parts, and this is my room, therefore a girl's room. I guess I just hadn't thought about it in those terms before. Sure, I have 7 computers in my bedroom (and more outside of it) so, I know it is still my room, but between my vanity mirror, shoe rack, and pink futon cover, I really can feel that I live in a place that represents me, which is great.

Only issue is, I don't have much space at all, which is why, I am limiting myself to only as many shoes will fit on my shoe rack:

I still have plenty of spaces (and I don't own any flats anymore, I need to buy some!), and I can move my Hello Kitty stuffed animal and backpack to the corners of my futon like I used to have it and free up lots more space on there.

I find setting limits for myself is really helpful, because if it were up to me, I would have all the shoes in the world lol.

Edit: BTW, those pink Sketchers with the memory phone are my boy mode shoes too lol, I am not sure how convincing boy mode is these day :P

Nice. My room is pretty neutral, though I have some stuffed animals I could decorate with.

Interesting....my room looks like an androgynous child's room.
It never really changed over the years.

Yeah not the most masculine of footwear choice if your trying to present male. I find people's attempts here to present 'male' rather odd. When you see finely shaped eyebrows, no to little facial hair, andro/femme clothing etc and call it 'trying to present as a guy', does it actually scream male to you at all?

Your right it does look like a girl's room, though i would of assumed a teenager's room from the stuffed hello kitties.

Sorry i know this sounds really harsh, and i don't mean this to be personal at all, it's just a vent on some things within the trans community.

Well, I am an MTF, so when I am trying to present male, I am doing as little male as I think I can get away with and only leave the impression "flaming gay". Just today I was at the thrift store in male presentation and I heard "Miss, I am coming thru with the cart" and there was a worker with a car asking me to move. I told him sorry and he said "It is alright Ma'am there just isn't much room in the isle, gotta bring new clothes to the floor".

So sure, even after speaking to the man he didn't see me as male, but to me that is fine even if I am presenting male, because I don't want to be seen as male anyway, I was only presenting that way because I had some stuff to do with a potential job that outlaws discrimination against sexual orientation but, has no protections against gender identity, so if they think I am gay no big deal, but if they think I am trans they can discriminate all they want. Soon enough I really want to be thru ever having to present as male.

I don't mind if it looks like a teenagers room :) I might be 28 but, I barely even feel 18. I certainly don't act my age :)

Well some of us in the nonbinary spectrums of the trans equation have to present as male at times or most of the time even. As for eyebrows or little to no facial hair that is most guys and a lot of guys shave their arms even. So I would say you just described about 40 to 60% of the cismales that I deal with on a daily basis. A lot of cismales are "manscaping" or just totally ridding themselves of body hair today. I guess they finally figured out just how nasty it is having it and unhygenic. Even average male clothing is going more toward andro. I really don't know if that could even be an idicator as somone trans trying to present male. ???

Me personally if I present as male I am a slob. Tshirts one or two sizes too big and jeans that are really loose fitting and some times to the point of disintegration. Slobby but not nasty though, my hair is clean and definately eybrows are tidy and I absolutely can't stand facial hair so no beards, moustaches or goatees. And I definately do not stink. The only thing that really sets me apart from masculine cismales when I present as male is my hair length which is long and about two inches from being even with my nipples. So really the only indicator may be hair length because most guys where I live have extremely short hair or buzzcuts and or even shave their heads. But that isn't even an indicator because there are guys with long hair too, but mine does look a little more girly though with natural curls and waves. My hair does make me stand out but the way I dress though puts me right back in.

@Hikari. I got a few more years on me than you do and I like all the girly stuff, like the Hello Kittys and yeah my bathroom is pretty pink and same with my comforter too. the only thing is that my sheets are more of a floral deal though. You go girl and be as girly as you want. I hate to say I don't feel like I'm 18 anymore, but hell who wants to be 18? 21 was much more interesting, legal for all the clubs. ;)
