hi guys! my name is hannah! I'm, a cisgender girl, and I'm here because I'm desperately looking for help for my friend.

I have a friend who I met on twitter named serah, she is mtf but is pretty much still in the closet. she doesn't know anyone at all in the community, and she's suffering from terrible terrible depression. I talk to her every single day, and she can get really unstable sometimes. she gets really bad dysphoria and has very low self esteem.

I've signed up to this forum because im looking for any other mtf girls who could maybe talk to her and even try to become her friend? as a cisgendered person there is only so much I can do, and I really need her to talk to somebody who can understand exactly what shes going through, and tell her what steps to take to get better. (I have her permission to make this post btw, she asked me to find somebody for her ^^;)

it's wonderful to meet you :) I'd really appreciate your help!

Welcome to Susan's
Find a list of topics that will help you post in the forum

You said this is for a friend, will she be the one who posts? Little confused on how you have this set up.
But she is welcome to ask any question she has.

Safe passage on your path

A big warm welcome Hannah! If you can get your friend to sign on here she will have more than enough caring and support from all of us. After 15 postings she will be able to PM anyone she feels a connection too. We are never to busy to help and if nothing else just vent to. All of us are at varying levels of transition so she will not feel alone at all. Transition is just not something one can do without support of some kind as it can be very difficult and emotional. Please extend a personal invitation from me to her to join this great family.  :)

I think ideally she is looking for somebody who could talk to her one to one on twitter really, I'm just searching for somebody on her behalf because she has pretty bad anxiety and I think is nervous to post things publicly about her gender. ^^; sorry for any confusion x

Just coming here to read the stories of our members could do a lot for her. She does not have to join.  :)

additionally, she does not have to reveal her true identity. Get a different gmail account, set up a screen name here. She can ask questions, rant, be completely at ease. There are more than a few of us here who are not fully out and we are not in the habit of abusing people's privacy, dignity or confidentiality. Even some of us who are out, don't necessarily provide all of our outside contact information to the forum at large. This is a safe place.

I think most people on this site don't post photos or real names, so if she wanted to interact anonymously that wouldn't be a problem. She could find a lot of advice and people willing to speak privately with her here.

I understand being afraid, though. Making contact with other trans people is often the first and most intimidating step towards dealing with being trans.

It's great that she has a supportive friend in you. That can make a huge difference.

She has to start somewhere, I think susans is a good place for it,

You can only overcome anxiety by doing things, baby steps if you want to take it slow

If she needs it I'd like to talk 1on1 with her here or other ways , I just dont happen to have Twitter
